  2. UUDEVIEW README FIRST

  5.  This distribution may include the following files. Some of them are specific
  6. to a particular version of UUdeview, hence you won't find them in a different
  7. distribution. Remember that DOS/Windows does not distinguish between capital
  8. and non-capital letters while Unix does.
  9.  Only the more important files are listed, you will read about other files
  10. in the appropriate INSTALL text.
  11.  
  12.  o  MANUAL        usage instructions; mainly for DOS/Unix, partially
  13.             also for Windows
  14.  o  INSTALL.UNIX    Installation instructions for the Unix version
  15.  o  INSTALL.DOS        Installation instructions for the DOS version
  16.  o  INSTALL.WIN        Installation instructions for the Windows version,
  17.             plus Windows-specific differences from the manual
  18.  o  COPYING        If you don't know by now, UUdeview is distributed
  19.             under the terms of the GNU General Public License.
  20.             This file is a copy of this License. It defines
  21.             the terms by which you may spread UUdeview
  22.  o  HISTORY        The revision list of the program. Is very incomplete
  23.             for versions before 0.4.
  24.  o  Readme        Some background information on the subject of encoding
  25.             and UUdeview in general.
  26.  
  27.  If you wonder about the formatting of most of the above files, this is be-
  28. cause they are just saved WWW pages. I particularly hate to change anything
  29. in more than one place, thus I write WWW pages and convert them to ASCII. If
  30. you have WWW access, you can visit the UUdeview home page at

  34.  The installation instructions also describe how to download and unpack the
  35. archives. These instructions make sense on WWW, but not here :-) Don't worry.
